Dr. Robert Dewar is a Senior Researcher in the Center for Security Studies at the ETH Zurich. He is specialising in cyber defence policy analysis and European cyber security, examining the institutional development of the EU's policy in the field and its impact on securitisation. His PhD thesis was an examination of institutional dynamics in EU cyber security policy development.
Robert's historiography of European cyber security is due for publication in autumn of 2014 in “Challenges and Critiques of the EU Internal Security Strategy: Rights, Power and Security”, editied by M. O’Neill and K. Swinton.
He is also a tutor at the University of Glasgow and the University of Stirling, teaching undergraduates on both University's Politics programmes.
